Dr. Angelika Laumer is a researcher in the project „EZRA – Remembering Racism and Antisemitism“ at KU Eichstätt. Her doctoral thesis „Am Horizont“ (published in 2023 by Beltz Juventa) is based on interviews with descendants of forced laborers in Germany and investigates everyday remembering and forgetting in rural society. In preparation for the thesis, she conducted field work in Poland. Laumer was supported by various grants. From 2021–2023, she researched subjective evidence and patient activism related to Long Covid at University Hospital Bonn. Prior to that, she built the audiovisual online archive 'weitererzaehlen' / erinnern:at, which hosts testimonies of survivors of National Socialist persecution and annihilation. She was involved in several other public history projects. Laumer received her doctoral degree from the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture Giessen and studied political science in Berlin, Lyon and Mumbai.
