Supplementary Program “Sustainable Development”

Climate change, flight, global injustice, digitalization, globalization, loss of biodiversity – all these (and many other issues) are closely linked to the challenge of sustainable development. That is why the ZFM is involved in the design of the supplementary program “Sustainable Development.”

The supplementary study program in Sustainable Development gives you the opportunity to approach questions of the future in detail during your studies at the KU and link these fields to your study program. In doing so, knowledge as well as key skills for your future professional career and for the co-design of sustainable development can be acquired.

This supplementary program is open to all KU students from their 3^rd Bachelor’s semester and offers a broad range of electives that allows the students to choose their specialization, e.g. in the area of flight and migration, individually. This is done by taking courses of the ZFM and the academic chair of Flight and Migration Studies. Among others, the modules "Basic Module Flight, Migration, Society" and "Education, Upbringing and Family" (each starting in the 5^th Bachelor’s semester) can be taken.
