Dr. Veronika Hecht studied geography, economics and statistics at the University of Regensburg and - in the course of a one-year stay abroad - at the Comenius University in Bratislava. In 2008 she completed her studies as a Dipl.-Geographer. She also finished the Slovakicum, an additional education in Slovak language and culture. After her studies she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB) in Nuremberg. She also was a scholarship holder in GradAB, the joint graduate programme of IAB and the Faculty of Economics at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg. She received her doctorate in 2019 at the University of Regensburg.
Since November 2019, Dr. Hecht has been a research assistant at the ZFG. She is not only responsible for various research projects, but together with Eva Vierring, she is also in charge of the family-friendly KU and the contact person for students and employees who have questions about the compability of family and study or the career.
