The KU’s Ingolstadt School of Management (WFI) is the number one in Germany when it comes to students’ satisfaction with their lecturers, the practical relevance of their studies or the international orientation. This is the result of an annual study conducted by the market research institute Trendence. For this study, the company questioned 16,000 business and economics students all over Germany on their career aspirations, plans for the future, most popular employers and their university.
According to Trendence, the overall satisfaction of WFI students has reached a consistently very high level across many years. Overall, WFI students are significantly more satisfied with their studies than fellow students at other universities.
In a national comparison, the Ingolstadt School of Management also ranked first when it came to the service offer and career counseling. Furthermore, the library was rated as good. In total, more than 97 percent of the participating students said they would recommend the Ingolstadt School of Management as a place to study; the nationwide average is only 88 per cent. Those questioned particularly praised the teaching-related and subject-specific skills of their lecturers and their availability, the high degree of practice connections achieved through involvement of case studies and guest lectures as well as the international orientation of the programs. Furthermore, they said that they in particular liked the organization of career events, the availability of competent contacts for service questions and the diversity and topicality of the literature offered in the library.
When asked about their own expectations and qualifications, WFI students attached much greater importance to employers who assume social responsibility. Furthermore, KU students have more practical and international experience than the national average. In terms of social and political commitment, WFI students who participated in the survey were also significantly more active than their peers at other universities.
