On July 3-4, the whole team of the Chair of Service Management participated at this year’s Bavarian Service Research Cluster (BSRC) hosted by Nicola Bilstein and her team at Universität Bayreuth.

Our team contributed with four presentations that reflect the diversity and depth of our current work:

  • Jannes Marquardt – Enhancing Consumer Predictability in Autonomous Service Journeys
  • Lucas Kames – Exploring Financial Wellbeing: Using Insights from Social Media
  • Patrick Weiss – Artificial Diversity in Advertising
  • Marah Blaurock – Active Listening of AI Systems: Investigating the Role of AI Communication Style in Human-AI Collaboration

As always at BSRC, we got very valuable and in depth feedback to move our own projects forward. We also got very interesting insights into cutting-edge service research from the other participating departments which sparked inspiring discussions. On top of that, we learnt more about the history of beautiful Bayreuth attending a very nice, fun, and informative city tour.

We look forward to hosting the 13th edition of the conference in 2026 and to welcoming the BSRC community at WFI next year.
