Our chair offers both Bachelor's and Master's theses with different focal points.

Our theses follow the following process
Further information regarding the application process

Step 1:

  • Students who are interested in writing their bachelor's or master's thesis at the Department of International Management have to fill out the application form and send it with a short email to wfi-im@ku.de.
  • If you would like to write your thesis during the winter semester, please send us your application by 30 June. For the summer semester, the deadline is 31 January. You will receive feedback from us within a few days after the application deadline.
  • To find a topic for your thesis, please refer to our specific research fields, which can be found on the website of our scientific staff. Additionally, you will find a list of possible thesis topics, sorted by bachelor and master theses. In principle, it is always possible to contribute your own topic ideas. The choice of topic does not play a role in the awarding of supervision.

Step 2:

  • The application form for a bachelor's thesis topic can be found here and the application form for a master's thesis topic here.
  • For some degree programs, especially Master's programs, the preparation of an exposé may be mandatory.
    Please discuss this with your supervisor.

  • Formal requirement for writing a bachelor or master thesis at the department of International Management are regulated in our style guide. (German version)
