Common case of confusion 5: Allocation of modules

Events that can lead to allocation of modules

In many KU degree programs, you have a lot of freedom of choice. Often, you are free to decide for yourself which required elective or elective area a module you have completed should be allocated to. Your examination regulations regulate the extent to which this is possible. This allows you to highlight individual qualification profile elements according to your preferences in your certificate and transcript of records.

Due to the large number of possible modules that can be allocated to different required elective or elective areas, not all of the modules you can select in your degree program may be recorded in KU.Campus and are therefore not immediately displayed in your overview of grades after successful completion.

In this case, you can allocate these modules to the respective area yourself.

Procedure if the allocation of modules is required

When applying for your final degree documents, please inform the Examinations Office in the certificate application in which area you would like your achievements that can be allocated freely to be listed. You can request issuance of your final academic record by submitting a certificate application that is available on your degree program website.

If you require an overview of grades that complies with the examination regulations before the final certificate is issued, please contact the Examinations Office directly using the contact form , select your degree program and the category "Datenabschrift” (overview of grades) and let them know which modules you would like to have allocated to the respective required elective or elective area (please include the respective module number if possible).

So, an allocation of modules does not constitute recognition or credit transfer.
