Pau Palop-García is a political scientist and migration researcher specializing in migration policies and the political representation of migrants in transnational spaces. He has published on these topics in journals such as Democratization, Citizenship Studies, Comparative Migration Studies, and the Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies. Before joining the DeZIM Institute, he was a Research Fellow at the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy (University of Erfurt) and at the Institute for Latin American Studies (ILAS) of the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA). He earned his PhD in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin. At the DeZIM Institute, his research focuses on the impact of migration policies on the opportunities available to migrants beyond their legal status.
